Lawrence Law Parker was born on November 15, 1943, in Queens, New York, to William and Mildred Parker. Parker’s mother worked as a domestic worker and his father was a cab driver. Parker has two sisters and one brother. He grew up in the Jamaica section of Queens and attended local public schools.
Parker graduated from high school in 1961 and enrolled in Queens College. He dropped out after one semester and joined the United States Army. Parker served in the Army for two years and was stationed in Germany. After his discharge from the military, he returned to Queens College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history in 1967.

Lawrence Law Parker was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on December 4, 1868, the son of Freedmen’s Bureau Agent William H. Parker and his wife, Frances (née Eggleston) Parker. He graduated from Howard University in 1887 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from Howard University School of Law in 1890 with a Bachelor of Laws degree. He was admitted to the Virginia bar in 1891 and began to practice law in Norfolk.

Larry and Delores divorced when Lawrence was seven years old, after which he and his two sisters were raised by their mother in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens. Parker attended Public School 133 for elementary school and Jamaica High School for secondary education. He excelled academically and was active in extracurricular activities; he played football and ran track while also participating in the drama club.

Lawrence Law Parker was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 1, 1868. He attended Randolph-Macon Academy and later Washington and Lee University. Parker was awarded an honorary doctorate from Washington and Lee in 1914. He also received honorary doctorates from the University of Richmond and Virginia Union University.
Parker was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1891 and began practicing law in Richmond. In 1897, he was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, where he served until 1901. He was then elected to the Richmond City Council, on which he served until 1903.
In 1904, Parker was appointed as a judge on the Richmond Hustings Court. He served in this position until 1910, when he was elected to the Virginia Circuit Court. He served on the Circuit Court until 1918, when he was appointed to the Virginia Supreme Court by Governor Harry F. Byrd Sr.. Parker retired from the Supreme Court in 1937.

Lawrence Law Parker was born on December 6, 1868 in Washington, D.C. He was the second of six children born to George Washington Parker and Sarah Jane Lee. Parker’s father was a well-known lawyer and his mother was the daughter of a prominent Virginia planter.
Parker attended public schools in Washington, D.C. and graduated from high school in 1886. He then attended Harvard University, where he studied law and graduated in 1890.
After graduation, Parker returned to Washington, D.C., where he worked as a clerk for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He then went into private practice with his father’s law firm.
In 1897, Parker married Carrie Turner Eustis, with whom he had two children: George Washington Parker Eustis (born 1898) and Sarah Jane Parker Eustis (born 1901).
In 1900, Parker was appointed by President William McKinley as Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia. He served in this position until 1903, when he resigned to return to private practice.
From 1904 to 1911, Parker served as one of the three Commissioners of the District of Columbia. In this role, he helped oversee the construction of many important public buildings in Washington, D.C., including the U.S. Capitol Building and the Library of Congress campus on Capitol Hill.
In 1912, Parker was appointed by President William Howard Taft as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia (now known as the District of Columbia Court of Appeals). He served in this position until his death in 1935 at the age of 66.”
